Outside of flying, I enjoy staying active and spending time with family and friends. I try to get outdoors as much as possible and explore new places.
Why did you become a pilot?
Since my first flight at age 5, I have been hooked. The idea of being up in the air and seeing the world from a different perspective is breathtaking, and I want to share this experience with everyone.
What do you find is the most challenging about flying a hot air balloon?
One of the most challenging parts is how dependent ballooning is on the weather. The slightest change can impact your flight.
Short description of something interesting that ballooning has allowed you to do?
Ballooning has brought me to meet new friends, and some of those friends are now like family.
What do you most want the public to know/understand about hot air balloons and flying them?
When Pilots come to events, we want to fly if possible; weather plays a critical role in our decision-making process to ensure safety. There is a saying that I would rather be on the ground wishing I was in the air than in the air wishing I was on the ground.
