When not flying, I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors with friends and family. Lastly, I dream about flying.
Why did you become a pilot?
I became a pilot as I love to get in the air and share this experience with others.
What do you find is the most challenging about flying a hot air balloon?
One of the most challenging aspects of flying is that every flight is a little different. Many variables, including wind, outside temeprature, and the amount of weight inside the basket, change the conditions for every flight. This is also what makes flying so fun!
Short description of something interesting that ballooning has allowed you to do?
Ballooning has allowed me to enjoy this sport with friends and family and meet new friends along the way. Some of which, I now call my family.
What do you most want the public to know/understand about hot air balloons and flying them?
Every pilot wants to fly, especially at events, though we also put safety first. Even though one may think conditions are flyable, there is a reason we cancel flights. We have a saying that it's better to be on the ground wishing we were in the air than in the air wishing we were on the ground.
