I became involved as a sponsor and a committee person at our local balloon festival in 1987. I took a ride that year in a hot air balloon and I was hooked. I love the balloon family and the people you meet.

What do you most want the public to know/understand about hot air balloons and flying them?
It's fun and can be challenging. It takes good crew and we are going where the winds take us.
