When you are not flying, what do you enjoy doing?


My son and I are also a competition BBQ judges . When not flying weekend balloon event, we judge BBQ


Why did you become a pilot?


After seeing a introduction to a movie at Disney 40 years ago from a Hot Air balloon , the sensation of a balloon flight just grabbed me and held on .


What do you find is the most challenging about flying a hot air balloon?


Weather and finding good landing spots. Also big power lines and wind turbines.


Short description of something interesting that ballooning has allowed you to do?


Love talking with the people at the night glows


What do you most want the public to know/understand about hot air balloons and flying them?


First it is an expensive sport . It is hard , heavy , sweaty work . But very enjoyable hard , heavy , sweaty work .
